Nondestructive Examination - Thielsch Engineering's Nondestructive Examination department is an integral factor in an engineering evaluation. Our personnel closely relate nondestructive testing and engineering for a variety of purposes.

ASNT Level III and QA/QC Services

Many organizations do not have the personnel or the staff to function as Corporate Level III Inspectors, and many organizations can not justify a full-time QA/QC Manager. Thielsch Engineering provides these services to a variety of clients in varying capacities, including:

  • Development and implementation of QA manuals
  • Vendor audits
  • Obtaining National Board "R" Stamp for code repairs, including manual preparation, NDE and QA/QC services
  • Obtaining ASME Code Stamps for fabrication and installation of piping, pressure vessels, boilers and other ASME Code-regulated components.

In some instances, results of NDE examinations are meaningless without a full engineering understanding of the desired end result. Thielsch Engineering has developed procedures using standards from actual failure incidents, and combines engineering expertise with NDE sophistication to save our clients money by avoiding needless replacements.

Thielsch Engineering also provides ASNT Level I, II and III services in the following areas of nondestructive examination:

  • VT, PT, MT, UT, RT, ET and IGSCC flaw sizing
  • Bonding Integrity Evaluation
  • Hydrogen Embrittlement Detection
  • AWS Certified Weld Inspection.
