of individual materials.

We also perform analyses for contractors, trade associations, insurance
companies, and legal firms
|
- For existing structures and those under construction, CTS offers
field investigations, research, and development
|
- For Alkali-Silica Reactivity (ASR) in concrete structures, we can
identify the problem and its extent, predict its impact on the serviceability
of the structure, and recommend repair strategies.
|
- For concrete deterioration due to freezing and thawing, CTS typically
investigates types of concrete distress by reviewing documentation of
the problem and examining cores removed from the structure. This is followed
by laboratory testing on suspected materials.
|
- When there is corrosion of reinforcing steel, pre-stressing steel,
or other metal embedment in concrete, we can use the latest techniques
to determine the cause and extent of the problem.
|
- New client-developed masonry-related products, including coatings,
sealers, mortars, and masonry units, are evaluated and tested in feasibility
studies at Thielsch prior to being used commercially.
