The Testing Services group operates one of the best
equipped commercial testing laboratory facilities in New England,
providing one-stop shopping services to our clients. This group utilizes
modern equipment for a diverse range of applications.
The ESS Laboratory
ESS Laboratory, an environmental analytical department, performs
analytical testing of drinking water, groundwater, wastewater, tissues,
soils, and sludge in conformance with a broad range of analytical
methods approved by the EPA and other state and federal agencies.
ESS Laboratory is approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and
the U.S. Navy.

The BAL Laboratory
BAL Laboratory is certified in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode
Island for providing testing services in the areas of environmental
and public health microbiology. The scientists at BAL use both
conventional and unique state-of-the-art techniques for assessing
microbial contamination
problems. BAL specializes in the areas of food, drinking/beach
water and indoor air quality (mold) analysis. BAL also provides
custom
test kit design to those seeking specialized microbial testing.

The Materials Testing Laboratory
The Materials Testing Laboratory,
performs optical and electron microscopy and testing for hardness,
tensile strength, impact toughness, low-cycle fatigue at room and
elevated temperatures, creep and stress rupture, hydrostatic and
corrosion testing of materials. Extensive analytical equipment includes
OES, SEM and EDS. Welder and welding procedure qualification and
testing are also performed.

The Construction Testing Services
For Construction Testing Services, clients are the sole reason it
remains one of the most respected construction-related service providers
in New England. We listen and collectively develop solutions that

The Nondestructive Testing Laboratory
The Nondestructive Testing Laboratory performs both in-laboratory
and portable field inspections in Radiography, Magnetic Particle,
Ultrasonics, Liquid Penetrant, and Hydrostatic Testing; Videoborescope;
and Certified Welding Inspections (CWI) on a local and worldwide
basis with individual clients and in support of the other divisions
within this group.
